We want to reassure patients about our service during ‘Lockdown 2’during November. Although some things will feel similar to the lockdown in March, we are now better prepared.
- Consulting by phone is ‘normal’. In Lockdown 1, we had to change overnight to telephone consulting instead of face to face. Since March we (patients and the team) have all have adjusted to this. In fact, there are more daily patient contacts now than before.
- We are as Covid-secure as possible. At the start of Lockdown 1 we had to redesign how the surgery can function safely for patients and staff. Your cooperation in this has been vital. By working with us on things like receiving care by phone and sending prescriptions straight to the pharmacy, every day you help keep our surgery safe for vulnerable patients.
- We are offering a full range of services. In March, routine care was stopped to deal with coronavirus. Our plan this time is to keep going and we will stick to this for as long as we can.
Having to face a second wave of coronavirus and lockdown affects us all. We want you to know that we are here for you. We appreciate all the kind and supportive things that you have told us since March. These, plus your remarkable cooperation, motivate us to do our very best for you, whatever the pandemic brings.
